August 19, 2026: After a remarkable journey from Dubai to Ottawa, 1,560 Dictionary4Life books arrived safely in District 7040. Last night, Rotarians from across the District gathered to collect their books, while RCWO volunteers got to work preparing our own books for local Grade 3 students.
August 5, 2026: On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Rotary Club of West Ottawa members, family, friends and student volunteers returned to Aid Station #3 at IRONMAN Canada Ottawa. What began as a day of handing out water and fruit became a weekend of community partnerships, youth engagement, food rescue, new friendships and plenty of stories to tell.
July 03, 2026: Every July, Rotary turns its attention to one of the oldest and most personal measures of a community's wellbeing: the health of mothers and the health of children.

The Free Reading Program is our online English literacy platform designed to build strong reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills.
With more than 260 units and over 3,600 fun, interactive activities in levels K to grade 6, the Free Reading Program (FRP) covers phonics, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and creative writing. Each person learns at their own pace, building skills through games, stories, and engaging exercises that are enjoyable and rewarding.
Great for those learning at home, those who want extra resources, those new to English or who have trouble learning, and to organizations who support literacy. By offering this accessible, professional solution, we help learners young and old gain confidence, open doors to opportunities, and spark a lifelong love of reading and writing.
